A podcast can be such an effective communication mechanism. It’s personal, and it conveys feel and vibe and emotion in a way that text just can’t match. You control the pace of information delivery. You control intonation and emphasis. As you can tell, I’m a big fan.

Now, video can do a lot of this as well, but podcasts have advantages over video. They don’t need as much bandwidth and you don’t have to dress up or worry about the background. All you need is a microphone that connects to your computer and some sound recording software. And, of course, most importantly, a message.
